Attached are some images of my recently completed Harmonia's Ring Cowl that I made for myself. We had Cat Bordhi at the Northcoast Knittery to teach several workshops, including a moebius knitting workshop. She had mentioned to me earlier that this would be a great men's cowl if done in charcoal, so I decided to make it as my workshop project. I love the fit and the Rowan Cocoon yarn is fantastic!
The pattern is by Sivia Harding. When I wear it, everybody says I look like a knight! Of course, a younger model would complement the cowl better!

I didn't think that I would
I didn't think that I would ever be a cowl kind of guy, but you just changed that. Very nicely done, and it suits you very well.
I didn't think I'd be a cowl
I didn't think I'd be a cowl guy either, until I tried on another version of this one, and then I really liked how it felt and rested warmly around the shoulders and neck...and never fell off! I'm curious now about experimenting with my own moebius design. It's a bit tricky to plan a design since the knitting grows outward from the center simultaneously in both directions.

I knit mine in a strip of garter stitch, giving it a half twist and grafting the ends together. The alpaca yarn was a gift and I wanted to use every bit for the scarf and cap. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

That is a very nice bit of knitting. And it looks great on you. I have a very small moebius neck scarf that I knit in alpaca that I enjoy, using a cap in the same yarn to complete the set. It can either be double looped around my neck; one loop pulled up to provide extra warmth to the ears; or worn as one loop, crossing the fronts to cover the throat. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Very nice! I'm thinking it
Very nice! I'm thinking it would be a fun project in handspun, as well.
Great looking cowl, and
Great looking cowl, and don't worry about it looking better on the younger set :)
Love the cowl. They just
Love the cowl. They just make more sense to me than a scarf (which can get lost so easily). Great work as well, wear it with pride!

That's a great piece. I really like cowls now- (haven't really fit into fashion since grunge in the 1990s) Women have such a range of cowls and shawls that look good but a nice male cowl is such a rare bird but a treat when you find one.

It's a great piece of work and looks good on you. However, it's really hard to right now to think about it's comfort as I sit in a warehouse office with the air conditioner on and still almost breaking a sweat. It's supposed to be 108 degrees this afternoon. I'll look at it again in the fall.

Beautiful! It looks perfect
Beautiful! It looks perfect on you. I'm not sure a younger model could carry it off. And you most definitely do look like a KnitteryKnight in it!
