Here are a few photos of my Unst Bridal Shawl, which I finished a few weeks ago. The pattern is pieced together from single patterns from Sharon Miller's book Heirloom-Knitting. It measures about 1,80 meter square and is knitted from 1-ply Shetland Supreme from Jamieson & Smith. Weight 174 grammes which equals about 2800 meters.
I first knitted the center square, then picked up stitches on all four sides and then knitted in the round. On the last circular row, just before attaching the edge, I had about 1150 stitches. I have never before knitted lace with patterns on ALL rows, so it was quite a challenge. It has taken 300-350 hours to knit.
Greetings from a beautiful summer Denmark

Hello everybody, thank you
Hello everybody,
thank you very much for all your kind comments. The shawl is not named in any way, so I will probably end up selling it for a ridiculously low price to someone who likes it. It's been fun knitting it, and that is the most important thing for me.
Again thank you everyone for your kind words.
Greetings

That shawl is truly a testament to your patience. I have quit on projects that involve pattern work on each row; I like the mental shutdown and relaxation of simply knitting on at least every other row. Now, was there a lucky bride in mind as you made it, or is it to be a display piece?
