Finished up a lace baby blanket last week and finally got it washed and blocked over the weekend. It'll go out in the mail today. Initial inspiration came from TheKnittingMill in this post.

I changed up his pattern a bit, mostly to achieve a size appropriate more to a baby blanket than a shawl, and I totally stole his idea for the color blending. It's a little tough to tell in the photo, but it fades through three shades of blue to white to ivory to golden yellow. Then a hard shift back to the darkest blue for the pico border.

When I finally got all the blocking pins in and stood back to take a look, I think I may have made a noise very much akin to "Sqweee!" ;) I'm quite pleased with how it came out.
