I just got a KnitPicks Harmony 40" circular needle in 3mm [the larger US2] last night. I've heard lots of good things about them, so I transfered my current sport weight sock off the doublepoints to try it out. I was impressed at once and am becoming more so as I knit away. So much so, I am considering another one in the 2.25mm [the smaller US1] that I use for finer sock yarns. While they won't take the place of my beloved sets of dpns, they will be nice for travel and bigger projects. I'm having to get used to the slightly more tapered points but they will be great for lacework. I do wish that the needle segment spun freely on the cable connection [like the KA needles] but that is minor. I also had a bit of a snag in where the wood joins the metal sections but a quick smoothing with 2 grades of sandpaper [and a lick of polishing cream] took care of that.
