Better info SSK

I mentioned a variation of SSK....a better explanation is:
Worked on the next 2 stitches on Left needle ( where you want a SSK)
- Place right needle through the 1st st as if to Purl, then throught the 2nd st as if to knit
- Do not pass these sts.
-Then catch working yarn.
- Pull working yarn through to knit them together...
There it is ! Sorry about the former confusion.....

True...it is not a true SSK.

True...it is not a true SSK. If you need an SSK.....THEN DO IT !
This gives the look of a left-slanting decrease...or so I have been told.
Different ideas for different effects....This procedure is for your "bag-of-tricks"....you never know when you might need it. It gives a good couple to K2tog in full fashioned details.....when speed is needed....and , it is easy to work with when you are picking up stitches for a top-down set-in sleeve. It is easy to see where exactly to pick-up for a 2:2 or 2:3 rate.
I will not bother to post again....your methods are far better than mine.
It is best to take info...kindly and keep these ideas for when /and if you need them....

Thanks for the

Thanks for the clarification. I tried to do it as I was reading the post but couldn't quite grasp it. Of course, being a left-handed knitter, I was trying to reverse all the instructions to fit working with the stitches on the right needle. As it was, I came close to getting it but not quite. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
