Staying Awake

AKQGuy's picture

So, here I sit on a Thursday night trying to keep my eyes open by knitting like a mad man on a baby blanket so I can go back to work tomorrow night. Needless to say, I'm failing. My eyes are drooping, my needles are slipping and garter stitch is as boring as always....

Basically, I'm here posting to add in a bit of a change in an effort to last a little longer. Alas Coke Zero, you have failed me.

Sorry that you had to slave

Sorry that you had to slave on it when trying to get regulated for a return to work. Still...it is going to be a great blanket when you get it finished. Hope you can start on the lace work soon. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

My condolences that you are

My condolences that you are being forced to knit a boring garter stitch blanket! You really should be allowed to do something with a more interesting stitch pattern.

I think all mad-men-knitting have experienced the phenomenon of falling asleep while knitting and the fingers just continue on without you for a couple of stitches. It's alright when you do it in private, but so embarrassing when in public and you wake up to find everyone staring at you!

Knitting is supposed to be fun, remember? Get some rest.

Alas, you too, dear Brutus,

Alas, you too, dear Brutus, are mortal...flesh and blood...a simple man...NOT Superman! You get your rest when you need it! I cannot wait to see the finished blanket. HEY! Stay awake while I am talking to you! :-)
