I just completed this Woodland's Shawl. A very easy lace and quick knit.

I used approx 620 yards of 50/50 wool silk Sage colored Zephyr (the yarn was doubled) on a size US 6 needle.

It's beautiful! I really like the colour. Is it a gift for you or someone else?

It's a gift for a woman who has been bringing me soup! Somehow I've lost the ability to swallow so she's been bringing me soup. The lack of swallowing is caused by central nervous system neuropathy which has been developed from complications of being a Type 1 diabetic for over 45 years.
I figure she's giving me sustenance - the least I can do is give her warmth!

THAT is freakin' beautiful.
THAT is freakin' beautiful. VERY beautiful. So, no delays, throw it up on etsy and sell it....(Or artfire.com, or bigcartel.) But, its an artistically wonderful piece and should not go unnoticed...or unfetched. CHEERS!

Really beautiful. Mostly though, I love the fact that there are people who can lump the words "easy," "lace," and "quick" in the same sentence! I don't think I'll ever be putting those together!
Way to go!

Hi Jonathan,
You know it's really much easier to make a lace shawl than it looks. Just randomly throw in a few knit two togethers and some yarn overs and suddenly it's lace!
I cannot make two sleeves the same length, a neck hole that is big enough for a head without sliding down off the shoulders, two socks the same size, or a body of a sweater that is small enough for just one torso. But yet, "easy," "lace," and "quick" go together perfectly for me.
I guess to each his (or her) own!

Another stunner. It's just beautiful. I'm getting curiouser and curiouser about lace. I'm thinking about possibly doing some curtains one day. With linen yarn, I'd imagine. I'm guessing that there's lots of lace instruction on YouTube. Is that how you learned?
I learned doing Debbie
I learned doing Debbie Macomber's "Alix's Prayer Shawl." I knew how to do yarn overs and knit two togethers. The rest was learning to read a chart and somehow that seemed very intuitive to me. And the rest...well going on sites like this and asking questions!
Knittinghelp.com has a lot of videos that show the various techniques too.
