Well, I have taken the plunge and after searching through the forums I have decided to try my hand at a very basic Beanie.
I found the 'Magic Loop' method mentioned on this site, did a little research on You Tube and got cracking. I had an absolute nightmare getting started but once I completed a few rows it has become less of a labour.
I am under no illusion that this will be perfect and I have already 3/4 completed and unpicked! I have made a decsion to finish it regardless of any mess ups and hope some of you guys can help me find solutions for fixing any problems :-)
Ginnie, my Boxer, finds the whole thing facinating and it will not suprise me if a few token Boxer hairs have found there way into the knit.
Anyway, I shall post the completed article - hopefully, tomorrow.

Welcome, there are hundreds of years experience here between all of the men on the site to answer questions when you have them! Believe me I've been helped out of a sticky situation. Matthew, I have a FB friend who lives in Nottingham. Cheers! Sid
