I've finally finished the sweater I started back in October. Darn school, work and Holidays getting in the way of knitting. (pun mildly intended.)
Again, this is the V-Neck Down Pull Over #247 from Knitting Pure and Simple
Simply put (did it again...) I love this sweater. I love the huge neck, love that it's big and comfy, and that if the sweater isn't warm enough, it's roomy enough for a long sleeved shirt under, but still fits nicely.
The one thing I'm not overly happy with is the neck itself. Pattern called for only one row of purling before binding off, but the way I did the increases along the neck left "holes" that I had to go below, so I ended up doing 5 rows or so. If I was going to do it over, I'd garter stitch it, and do some decreases at the point of the V.
But other than that, I'm really happy with it. Not bad for a 3rd project. More info and notes on my Ravelry, if you're interested in that sort of thing.

Thank you much!
Matt, that looks great on
Matt, that looks great on you! Well done...should be as wearable as a sweat shirt ...if the neckline bothers you, you could darn some yarn into it to make it more dense...
Thanks! Neck's not bothering
Thanks! Neck's not bothering me much from a wearing perspective, but I'll definitely keep the darning in mind if it start to, or gets visually showing the "raw" edge underneath.
Congrtulations on your first
Congrtulations on your first sweater. I bet it was fun for you and the joy of wearing something you made can not be described. I think it looks great.

Thanks! It was a lot of fun, learned a TON, it is awesome wearing it. Now, if the temperature will just go back down so I can...(I finished the sweater on Weds, it's been high 60s/low 70s every day since.)

Looks great to me! I haven't tackled my first sweater project yet, but I feel one calling my name after seeing yours.
Awesome!
Thank you! The Knitting
Thank you!
The Knitting Pure and Simple charts are just that: seamless, usually top down garments. I know a couple of the other guys on here have knitted them also. For me at least, this was great for my first "major" project.
Good luck with yours! ;-]
Love the colour and it does
Love the colour and it does look comfy, great job.
Thanks! It's James Brett
Thanks!
It's James Brett marble and I really like it. That brand gets used a lot in my knitting group. This is a bit subtler marble than some of the others. I'm really happy with how it turned out.
