Happy Holidays!
I had a lot of fun making the hat and scarf I am giving my wife for Christmas. I used #13 needles and a nice wool/acrylic blend...washable! I am now looking for an afghan to make. Does anyone know of a relatively easy one to make? I have found a few online, but find that they are either painfully boring, or very difficult. I'm still just a beginner, but willing to work at learning some new skills without frying my brain! Any suggestions?

I agree with ronhuber.
I agree with ronhuber. Great color for the hat and scarf.
I too am working on my first afghan. I'm using a pattern called "warm thoughts throw" from the knitting calendar from 2008. A picture of the throw is available here:

It's plenty easy as far as knits and purls, but you gotta keep counting or you mess up the zig zags. Check it out. You might find it easy enough for a beginner, but challenging enough to be somewhat interesting.
