It looks mildly aerobic!

It looks mildly aerobic! I'm guessing you would need to pre-draft, though - I don't know how you would be able to have much drafting control while simultaneously jumping yarn that way.

For me, this doesn't look like it flows, though - there's a lot of discontinuous action. The thing I like about spinning is that after getting in the groove, you can turn your mind off, let your hands and feet think for themselves, and feel the flow of the fiber through your hands.

You can't re invent the wheel and even though she is an amazing lady, and this looks like a fun thing to do, but if you are a spinner on a drop spindle like me I can tell you that you will not be able to do this for more than 30 minutes a days maximum an hour. It looks like a lot of fun , but definitely very impractical. I will want to see 300 yards on those rubber balls and then getting a bigger ball like a pilates ball to ply them together!lol!

Just Amazing! If I ever get

Just Amazing! If I ever get into spinning, I'll definitely try this first. I'd love to see a video of someone spinning yarn this way using music and a dance routine. Or even a jump rope jingle... I think that this method has got lots of possibilities. And that yarn looked pretty good too! It's amazing.

THAT is really cool! It

THAT is really cool! It would be a great teaching technique for young people and kids who were curious about where thread/yarn/clothes come from! I can see them having a really good time and learning skills that could translate into more prosaic fibre production. I can see possibilities for revolutionizing Vacation Bible School Crafts, Girl/Boy Scout merit badges, even as an adult meditation technique. I was thinking if you sat crosslegged on a revolving stool in a modified lotus position with one foot to turn yourself, it would almost be like a buddhist prayer wheel. hmmmm why didn't Gandhi think of this???
