Thanks for your comments. Jerry grandchildren call me papa John. Makes me sound so old :) The blanket is done in a garter stitch pattern. I can download the pattern and e-mail it to you if you would like.

Very nice. What is the stitch on the blanket? It looks a bit lacy without a lot of big holes. I am curious as my partner is going to be a grandfather this spring, so thought I had better get busy making things. He'll be "Grandpa David & I'll be "Grandpa Jack".
