I want to knit my partner's grandchildren some sweaters this Christmas. I have look everywhere for patterns for 2T and 5T and all I can find is sizes in 2,4, 6. Is this where I actually need to measure the children's chests and arm and fudge in the 2 and 4 size. I know gauge is important. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
John

My favorite sweater pattern
My favorite sweater pattern is the Child's Placket Sweater. It doesn't list sizes but rather age ranges (e.g. 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years, 2-4 years, etc.) I've really only done the three smallest sizes though. It's an easy and very cute pattern. Good luck!!
