Weave-It Afghan

I started this on May 1st and now about 1/3 done. It currently measures 36"x48". I'm using a lot of the bits and pieces that Bill had accumulated.

Very nice, Rick. My weave-it project has gotten sidetracked. This inspires me to get it out and finish it. Partly my own fault because it is in white...I dislike working with white as I consider it a sign of mourning. [Of course, my great-grandniece wouldn't look at it that way.] -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

I have to agree, you work is gorgeous, and a great way to use up some scrap. I've been thinking about taking up spinning and thinking if I do that,I should start weaving. It inspires me... Keep up this amazing piece of work! Can't wait to see more as you progress.

How are you doing this? It's beautiful!! Are you knitting at all or is it all just weaving together pieces of knitting? I can't wait to see the finished piece but even the 1/3 you have done is fantastic!!

Thanks. No knitting in this project. It is made out of small rectangles, woven on hand looms. This project uses 5 sizes of looms - 6x4, 6x2, 4x4, 4x2, 2x2. Then the rectangles are all whipstitched together. Crazy, I know...
