That's funny! One of my favorite T-shirts has two straight knitting needles standing vertically with the following message printed next to them:

I HAVE TWO NEEDLES
YOU HAVE TWO EYES
DON'T MESS WITH A MAN WHO KNITS!

This could be printed on the other side of your bag, JoJo:

I hate knitting anything around my Mom that requires concentration, because she's the type of person that has to fill every second of time and space with mundane conversation about someone I don't know or don't remember (that she insists I do) who's died. Or better yet, a relative (friend, neighbor) of the someone I don't know or remember!

With a bit of patience Mill you'll get to the same point. We all of us eventually turn into our parents. When my own mother was at this stage I just nodded, uhh-ed and 'do you want more tea?' Easy.

LOL...Good advice Joe! I'm going to need a TON of patience, because my Mom is still really, really young! She's only 55 and my Grandparents are around the same age as my peers' parents. Now that you mention it, she's turning into my Grandfather--he goes to funerals in his small town to socialize.

Oh I so get that about the

Oh I so get that about the mother, must be an age thing, except with mine it's all so negative, I have to load up on the antidepressants after a visit with her and if its an extended visit, well it takes days to recoup my positive energy. Fortunately I have recently been disowned so life has been good.
