Off to Outer Banks

Leaving this afternoon to go to the Outer Banks. Will be making a brief stop for my wife to look at some Dachshund pups for my kids. Started a new project last night and brought it and my son's socks for the trip. The new project is a dishcloth for a friend who likes Peanuts. It is the Woodstock character. It will be a quick and portable project for this trip. My son's socks are also easy to work on as they are toe up and I am on the leg (knit 3, purl 1). I hope to get quite a bit of knitting done the next 2 days and through the weekend. I hope that I am on the upswing with knitting even though it is close to the end of the school year. (@ 6 weeks left). I hope I can finish several of the small projects I have started to help keep me sane over the next few weeks.

On a final note, Did anyone go to the NC Fiber Festival in Raleigh last year? My wife and I are considering going this year and hope that it will be worth the 2.5 hour drive. Let me know something if you did go. Thanks.

And be sure to make a stop

And be sure to make a stop to see Parrot! He will be hurt if you don't.

I'm glad you're getting some

I'm glad you're getting some knitting in Russ! I get crazy if I'm forced to go a day or 2 without knitting. Have a fun trip and good luck with the puppies!

The Outer Banks are so much

The Outer Banks are so much fun! I've gone for the last three years, but don't know if I'll make it this year... say hello to the Dunes for me =)
