On Friday WillyG and I met up with my friend Harriet and drove out to A Touch Of Twist which is just outside of Albany. It was a beautiful morning despite the dismal forecast for the weekend and the ride out was nice. The shop is a bit out of the way, but certainly worth the effort to get to. Packed with wheels, looms, spindles and bobbins, fiber in bags and hanging from the walls. Spinning fiber, yarns in skeins and on cones, needles, hooks, books, and I think I even saw a kitchen sink. Steve's got everything. I think I've found a new favorite shop!
Here's what I came home with. Two skeins of a super soft alpaca in a colorway called Silver, some silk and merino top, muticolored pencil roving, and a beautiful puple wool and alpaca blend.
