A productive weekend!
Sadly, it wasn't with my knitting. Nor was it tearing down the deck in the back yard or cleaning the basement like I intended. But I got more spinning done on the blue and grey wool/alpaca blend from A Touch of Twist. I'm going to ply this with a white undyed blue-face leicester.
I also have some of the white spun up that I'm ready to play with further so while I was out shopping this morning I picked up some cheap plastic measuring and mixing implements and some kool aid and decided to have some fun with some of the stuff I had spun.
My official to do list remains untouched, but I like my little diversion. It was necessary!

Really great work, Aaron. I am amazed whenever I realize that you have only been spinning for a relatively short time...you have such even yarns, no matter what thickness you are working towards. Must be a natural! The dyeing looks really nice, as well. Bev, a dear friend [sadly, deceased now] always loved using Kool-Aid for projects - especially when we did public demonstrations. She always told the onlookers, "You really don't want your kids to drink this stuff; but it sure works great for yarn! Besides, if they do drink it, you don't have to worry about it poisoning them...much." Bless her...I sure miss her at times. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
