I started this project over two months ago and just now took some pics. Working on the last square this weekend, then just need to knit the border and block it. Finishd, it will be over 6'x6'.
Finished the knitting early this morning. Still have a few ends to weave in and will block it when we have warmer weather in Istanbul.

Spectacular!!! How are you getting that wobbly hand painted look? I love it.
Not sure what you're asking,
Not sure what you're asking, but here's how I contructed it: Started knitting the brown strips first. Each color is a short bit of yarn. I know, that's a lot of ends to deal with, but I wove them in as I went, so it really wasn't bad. The mitered corners were made using short rows. The black strips were made in two ways. The straight sections: picked up stitches from one side of one brown strip, knitted 12 rows, picked up stitches from the adjacent brown strip, knitted two rows, then used 3-needle bind off to connect the two parts. The black and red squares were made by picking up stitches from the brown strips and knitting toward the center. They were knitted flat, so needed to stitch it it together along one corner. I'm working on the border now, just a simple 15 stitch garter stitch, knitting it on as I go. I'll miter the border corners using short stitches.

Simply beautiful! I love your design -- so midcentury modern. And your color choices are great. I love to knit afghans (I’me working on 2 right now and have 2 more in the pipeline.) Great job!
