i am making a lace sweater for a friend with rowan kidsilk haze. it's like knitting with air. i have frogged this thing four times already and it's 154 cast on sts. i get about 5 rows in and it looks like hell. yikes
What kind of needles are you using? Bamboo are less slippery but the points are a bit blunt. For lace weight I've had the best results with the nickle plated Addi Lace Turbos. They aren't as slick as the regular Turbos and they are nice and pointy. Sweaty hands might help with slippage. Knit while anxious. ;-)
i realized after my post that i was opening up the mwk floodgates for suggestions on how to getting sticky hands. thank you for your discretion :) i am using the regular slippery addi turbos on long click it cable
I have knitted several stoles with "kidsilk haze" the frustration is worth it. Are you frogging from mistakes or appearance if mistakes ....try using a life line if from appearance remember lace looks like an unwashed dish cloth until it is blocked. Try pining out the piece on the needles to see if it will change appearance when blocked, my guess is it will. Good luck
I couldn't even imagine! The lace weight I'm using now feels like it's such a tiny thread and the kidsilk haze is much smaller in diameter. I can empathize with the frogging! I must have CO the Rose Trellis Shawl pattern and completed the neckband 5 times and frogged every time. It just kept looking so crappy! I ended up taking a break and I recently started Mario's QAL with the alpaca lace. It's going much better! I will try and send you some good mojo!
thanks. this actually uses the trellis lace pattern on size 7 needles which seem so clunky compared to how thin the thread is and then there is the fuzzy. my eyes!!!

Good luck on the lace work, a lot of dexterity involved and patients. Watch the loops keep them long.
