But it will not be for long. Tomorrow I set out for seven days by the ocean in Gloucester, MA. No TV, no phone, no internet. Just me, and the fire buringing in the fire place and my knitting. This is my personal, private time and I try to do this every year. I spend the whole week in silence and solitude and knitting and then, for the other 51 weeks of the year, my knitting remains as the peaceful place where I go to restore my spirit, soul and self. I always think of friends and family during this time--the people I love and treasure--this time I take all of you with me. I am leaving tommorrow with two inches of seed stitch on a circular needle as the start of a forest green V neck sweater. I will let you know how much I get done over the week.
