Woo-Hoo! Another member of the group. Hope you enjoy knitting as much as I have. Just remember to be patient with yourself and let things develop at your pace. After all, it is only 2 sticks, some yarn, and 2 basic stitches. Everything else just grows from there. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
You'll know if you're gonna be a serious knitter there and then. I wish you good luck. There should be more male knitters! We need to take over the world!
Welcome to the group! I hope your class goes well. I remember starting to knit and it felt awkward, but if you keep at it, it gets easier! We'd love to see what you create!
Welcome to the world of Men Who Knit! Hope you have a great time learning and there is always a lot of great advise and support here. What I always tell new knitters is, don't get discouraged. Knitting is like nothing you've done before. Once your hands get used to how to do it, it will come easier. And the best way to get better at knitting is by knitting.
Good for you, Randy. Start slow and easy and let the craft draw you in--which is another way of saying have fun doing this and you will be amazed at what you learn!
Randy, remember most things seem difficult and overwhelming at first but knitting is really easy - definitely not rocket science. In a little while it will seem like second nature to you. My best advice is to always use good yarn, for a beginner I think wool is best. So, good luck and have fun. I can't wait to see your first project.
Congratulations on you first knitting class. Just remember relax and have a great time. Enjoy all the fibers and the amazing colors. You'll be surprised how fast you'll learn.
I wish you all the best with it, Randy. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of stuff you'll end up making. I had my first lesson about 6 months ago. It's an amazing and arresting craft to get involved with.
Congrats for taking up the sticks! I promise that within six months you will be walking around with this vague look on your face, your eyes glazed over and credit card in hand stashing away yarn for winter!
Welcome to the group here. You will find a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as some darn good friends. It's all yours just for the asking.
