... the pattern came in laaaate Monday so I didn't get a chance to pick it up until this morning. All of you that wanted one ... you got it! So look in your boxes the next couple of days and let's say we start this thing in about a week and a half. That should give everyone time to get their act together.. Or not.. no pressure. I AM missing some info from a couple of people"
Joe Moore (IBugsy) kiddo... you didn't give me your address.
And somehow JDCubed slipped through my fingers likewise.
So I have sent patterns to the following:
Millie (Laisse les bons ton rouler)
Bill (who is keeping San Franciso safe for me until I can visit again)
Tim TenClay (I need to get to know you better dude)
Scott Bramstedt (Scott you are such a sport about things no matter what! I like that)
Shawn Stoner
Willie Gillespie (great sense of humor)
Juan Cordero
Phil Carlton (can;t wait to see what you come up with)
Ken Kranz
Aaron Bush (that handsome yankee who won't move south no matter what)
Rob Strauss
Jesse Kahn (who has been licking his screen since Kenny posted the model pic)
Stan Jestis
If Mr. Cubed and Mr. Bugsy will get ahold of me again I would appreciate that. Otherwise I have but two patterns left over. Either option will not kill me.
I want to thank you all again from the bottom of my heart, should I ever be able to locate it, for getting behind this project. My special thanks to Kenny, and if you don't know him you should seek him out he is one of the best stitchers to be found and a wealth of information, for his never ending contribution to the craft and commoradorie that it begets.
Thanks also to the people who have decided to knit up the Fiber Trends Clogs as well as those for the knitted Christmas stocking. Joanne I know you have already started and it looks great so far.
I continue to be proud and happy to belong to a group so overwhelmingly supportive in not only our projects but our our everyday lives.
Thanks a million folks ya'll mean a great deal to me,
Chris

Can someone give me an idea of what the yarn requirements are for the boxers? I assume it's sock weight, but how much?

Hey Tim,
I sure can!
The pattern calls for 300 grams total (you figure that one out for yourself has I haven't converted myself to metric yet.
If using contrasting colors and knitting a size small, 100 grams for the back panel, fly and waistband. Plus 100 grams for the main body of the shorts (ie. the legs)
For all other sizes again 100 but then 200 grams for the body of the shorts.
If you are buying supplies the pattern also uses (they say) 1 yard of 1" elastic for the encased waistband. If you don't sew and already know it, I would buy the non rolling variety. Just looks better in the long run.
