Stash on the hop

This is Saga. She passed away last summer. I currently have 15 angora rabbits just like her that produce almost 3 lbs of fibre for me each year. That's 40 - 45 lbs of angora each year that I hand process, blend with silk and spin into lace weight yarn. I'm still waiting for that "one" project that will inspire me.

Do you pluck/comb or shear?

Do you pluck/comb or shear?

With 15 Giant and Giant

With 15 Giant and Giant Hybrid Angoras having to be sheared every 16 weeks, I have professional clippers. So much faster and far less stress on my buns. They actually enjoy having their coats removed and will tell me when they are overwhelmed by their coats and when it's time to remove them.

Welcome to MWK...we really do like our woman members...even though we may joke about shoes...
I looked at your etsy shop...hoping you'd have some angora yarn available...but not at the moment.

Alas, I was raised to be a low maintenance woman. I have less clothes, coats and shoes than my husband. We are a gender challenged family! LOL.. My yarns sell so quickly that I rarely have to put them into Etsy but I do have some that is laceweight and the colours are inspired by the painted desert of Arizona. I lived in Oklahoma for a number of years and would jaunt over to Arizona to visit family snowbirding from Canada. I'll never forget how beautiful that desert is.
