Yeay - just finished the Erika Knight Funnel neck sweater.
I really love this New Zealand wool too - it is going to be such a warm jumper.
I was too impatient and haven't blocked it yet.
14 ply and on 6mm needles, it came up so quickly :)
have a good weekend boys!

Thanks so much boys for all the encouragement!
the Rib is actually a 3 / 2
The wool is "Naturelle" Chunky 14 ply - made by a company called 'naturally' in Auckland, New Zealand.
What Iliked most about it was the rugged nature of the yarn. It is soft but looks like it could be course. I thnk it is a very "blokey" jumper.

Oh my. I just wrote up a pattern for a sweater nearly identical to this: just change the size of the ribs and turn them into staggered twisted cables and you have my sweater design. I even have the same v stagger over the chest. Whoops. Just goes to show, there really isn't much that new under the sun.
You did beautiful work. It looks great.
PS: Your body heat/moisture can also block a sweater...says the man who has also been too impatient to "properly" block a sweater before wearing.

Very nice, Paul. I really like the way the ribbing pattern blends so well into the neck. I may have to use it in a future project. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Perfectly classic sweater and like others have mentioned, you used the perfect color wool for this project. I'm sure you'll be wearing that sweater during the cold season a lot.
