WHat to do when you have a gazillion or more things you should be doing? Do something else entirely, of course!
Which is why I wrote a new shawl pattern this morning. Granted, it was an easy one as it is just a square in "faux spanish" with a feather and fan border, but ......
attached is the file for "Paella" - a (an?) Hap style shawl using a ground of "faux spanish" lace.

Mario, I can't wait to delve
Mario, I can't wait to delve into it. I love FSL. Thanks so much for your ongoing generosity for sharing it with us! I'm sure the combination will be beautiful!

Being as I have two
Being as I have two deadlines today, I am of course spending my time re-writing this pattern for flat knit, double down triangle.
What else?

I made a triangular FSL
I made a triangular FSL several months ago with the intent of adding a border from either the Estonian Lace book or Victorian Lace Today. I still haven't managed to get it right.
Borders are much easier for me when they're built into the pattern instead of knit separately and grafted on or picked up and knitted on.
This looks fun!!!
yup, borders are much easier
yup, borders are much easier if they can just be a continuation of the knitting...
the trick is finding attractive borders that are knit in the correct direction!!!!!!
and ending the body of the shawl with the correct number for the repeat of the border.
I did a stole in faux
I did a stole in faux spanish and I imagine this with the border will be lovely. I really like square shawls. Thanks a lot.
One of my favorite aunts
One of my favorite aunts once gave me a pin that said "World's Greatest Procrastinator" as she knew I'd take it in good humor. I did tell her that it was appropriate. Great sounding pattern...yet another project to add to the list. {BTW, I proudly wore that pin until it wore out and broke.} -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
Yup. Why put off until
Yup. Why put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after?
