Last spring my best friend Nicole told me she was having her second child and we learned later on that it was going to be a boy. I ended up making up this set piece mill from 3 different sources. I finished my first BSJ finally! Yayyyyyy! It was fun and just as addicting as everyone says. I'm ready to make another as soon as I hear of a baby coming. I used LB Cotton worsted in Navy and Avacado on a Addi circular. It's a 4 row alternating stripe that came out just like I wanted! The collar directions were obtained from Wikipedia and are written out on my ravelry account http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Millard/baby-surprise-jacket
(sorry, tried to link it but it isn't working). The hat pattern is the Umbilical Cord cap out of Stitch 'n Bitch. I used 5 row alternating stripes in SS. I love this pattern and it's so easy! To finish out the set, I crocheted the booties from Crochet Today - "Gumdrop Booties" and added the pom poms to gay it up a little...LOL (",) I apologize for the crappy photos!
