Joe,
You know I would support you in any way that I can. I would LOVE to go. I guess because I've never been up north, but even though it would be a fantastic getaway, I just can't afford it this time around.
Hope you all, (that was my salute to Yankeeville, otherwise I would have written y'all) and have a great time.

Thanks Chris...I have recently been traveling a lot down South (Mobile and Birmingham, AL) and I was thinking what a great place Mobile would be to have a Men's Knitting Retreat...but then I figured I had enough on my plate as it was.
You and and your Southern charm...can't wait to see pictures of you in your knitted underwear.

Hey Joe,
I'll show you some Southern charm! You haven't lived unless you have sat on the veranda on a hot night with the old folks strummin' on their bayous and smellin' the chitlins blooming in the yard! Heck, us folks would serve a nice hot bowl weevels to a starving yankee! (no spoon of course. That would be wrong-headed. After all, the Union did invade the USA and I don't think we are quite over it yet)
As for knitting underwear....... do you prefer top down or bottom up?
Keep me posted on the retreat. I've always respected you as a mentor, guru and all around nice guy and it's good to see you (electronicaly) again.

As for top-down or bottom-up in my underwear preferences, I think it should be quite evident from how the pattern is written. I would imagine you might need to modify the pattern.
Thanks for the very kind words.

Joe, just say the word buddy!
You've always been a sweetheart to me.
Thanks,
Chris

I signed up to go for my first time this year. Although I'm enjoying knitting a lot, I'm not really that skilled or prolific, and I'm returning to knitting after being away from it for quite a few years. So, I'm just hoping to learn from everyone else.
I live just north of Philadelphia PA (near Chestnut Hill) and will be driving up. Is there anyone else closeby who would want to carpool?
