The sweater looks great. The styling is really flattering for that body type. The pillows are quite nice as well. As to the alpaca pillow - I'm wondering if you are knitting general shapes before felting, cutting them down to the final curves etc. before assembling. The design reminds me of ancient Scythian felted tapestries that were found in Russia some years ago. Very nice. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
Truly impressive. I love the bulky tufted pillow...what a great use for that kind of yarn, and the amount of work that must have gone into that beautiful black & white pillow is hard to imagine.
Your concept for the felted alpaca pillow is intriguing. I'm sitting here wondering how you will compensate for the uneven felting of knitted fabric when knitting the unfelted version of it.
I will be tracking you closely to watch your progress.
Perhaps it's not going to be knit at all, but rather needle felted. The way he's drawn out the design suggests that to me. There is too much detail in the design to be able to do a good representation of it with knit stitches unless he were to use small needles to begin with. These are just my ramblings, of course. We'll have to wait and see what he says. :)
Does the sweater have a red/orange detail down the side? It's a really fun accent! Does it appear anywhere else? I too love the B&W pillow! It is a published pattern or your own design?
