...with my very first illusion knitting piece. I figured I would do some kind of simple design like a diamond or a heart just to begin.
Attached is what I have so far.

If I don't have enough projects that I'm working on, I've begun learning a new (new to me) technique.
For some reason, I've always been extremely apprehensive about Illusion/Shadow knitting.

A friend of mine described a sweater with a shawl-type/style neck
ummm???
'don't believe I've ever heard of such a thing...
I honestly don't know...

I'm just in a good mood. This is the beginning of my favorite time of year, and I'm just happy and want to tell folks.
...just to talk and share my feelings...

I took the pattern that I designed and instead of making a sweater out of it, dug out one of my pound cones of Peaches-n-Cream cotton and made a short sleeve pullover from it.

This is the newest pattern that I designed that's going into my second book. I'm wicked excited about it!

I used a sockweight wool/acrylic blend (the shop I got it from just called it "Special") to make this.

I just had to tell SOMEONE!!!
When the computer was on the blink and I thought I lost everything, what did I do to calm my nerves? I cast on and just started knitting!

One of my better friends from England sent me a WHOLE POUND CONE! of sockweight wool!!!
Of course, this being a hat, it's definately doubled up...
...and well, as quoted from "The Birdcage"

So, I was working on this bit of energy spurt with the CapsForKids, and the housemate was intent on convincing me that this hat was going to be his.
