I checked this one out several times from the library across the street when it was still open. Finally I just bought it. Informative, concise, clear pictures and separated into single-color and multiple-color, light, medium and heavy-weight yarns has made this my go-to book for stitches.

Something I found on Yahoo! Anyone familiar with them?

Here are a few pictures of the yarn bowl that I won in Kyle Kunnecke's contest from a few weeks ago. It arrived over a week ago but someone used my camera and ran out the batteries.

Here are a few of the gifts made for this Christmas. The hedgehogs are for the bosses, the Holly hat for a friend and the Rainbow Check hat for my sister.

Not earth-shattering news, but pertains to knitting nevertheless.

I was contacted by a friend from Bear411 who has a friend who raises llamas and alpacas (among other critters). He's looking to sell fiber and is new at it.

I've been wanting to make this hat for a long, long time and I'm ready to start. The pattern says 16" for woman's size. Also says to fit a woman (man).

Things have taken a turn for the better lately and it looks like I'll finally be able to take a week's vacation in Sacramento, CA to visit some friends.
