I finally finished my mom’s afghan, although due to time contraints it ended up being a lapghan. It turned out very well for my first try at something that big and complicated. I’m working on my daughter-in-law’s Philosopher’s Cap in Lion Wool Autumn Sunset right now. I have several other projects I want to add to In My Stash, but I have to get them organized first.
I've just launched a person website dedicated to my knitting. It's basically a log of my projects, with personal comments coming in the near future. Check it out at
Here is a picture of the scarf in its current state.
So, I finally got this cashmere blend, basket-weave scarf looking right...and I came to the end of my ball. A trip to the store I bought it from proved fruitless...they were out. So is the manufacturer. "Out of stock" on their website. I sent an email asking for an ETA on more, but no answer so far. My mom may end up with a differnt color scarf...
I'm having problems with "end" stiches...the first, or last, stitch on a needle. They always end up looking like slip knots, and a far too loose and wide. I'm working on a basket weave scarf (cachmere blend, cream) and the pattern is turning out OK but the edges look scalloped. Any suggestions or advice?
