For my sins, I've offered to knit a pair of socks for the BIL of a friend. The measurements I have been given, and I quote

Just off the needles, the Twisted Stitch sock from The Knitting Man(ual) by Kristin Spurkland. The yarn is a superwash sock fine fingering weight with a tight twist from Brooklyn Handspun in a subtle solid, Daily Denim. A delight to knit with. Needles were 2.5mm dpns.

Latest wip. The sock is the Twisted Stitch sock from The Knitting Man(ual), yarn is by Brooklyn Handspun, colour "Daily Denim" from her Signatur machine wash sock yarn on 2.5mm dpns.

Just off the blocking wires, Euny Jang's Print o' the Wave shawl. The yarn is Jamieson & Smith Laceweight, shade L40, and I used 6 balls of it. Needles are 3.5mm.

Recently finished socks. After I knitted the first, I lost the pattern, and consequently the interest to knit the second.

Just finished a swatch of a pattern from Heirloom Knitting by Sharon Miller. The yarn is cashmere/merino laceweight (so soft) from ColourMart UK, and the needle was 3mm.

I finally got around to blocking the shawl I posted recently. There is a detail of the point attached.

This is one of the socks from "Fancy Feet" by Anna Zilboorg, she collected colours and designs from Turkey.

At last my copy of the Knitting Man(ual) has arrived. It contains garments for men, mostly classic stuff with a modern twist. Some lovely jumpers (sweaters) but I don't like the boat-necks.

TomH asked for a close-up of the stitches. Thanks for all the great comments.
