Nothing special, I did these for the wife if a friend who was having
birthday. They were out of town and I was housesitting so I found a pair of her shoes and used them for sizing. That's not creepy, is it? :-))
if you don't mind cables, this is a great hat. You can do them without a cable needle.
I'm a little confused by the terminology. It lists a "knit one front and back" as the same as a bar increase...? I know the bar as the yarn that runs between stitches, and a "make one" as pulling up that bar, twisting and knitting it (R or L as need be).
It's been quite a fall/early winter and I haven't been on much. At the end of September, I moved back to the US after 14 years in Turkey. I have been knitting here and there though, and as life settles down, I've slowly been getting back into old habits. :) Also enjoying some new ones!
A friend of mine from the East Black Sea recently opened a cafe. His mom is the one who made the Hemshin socks I posted several months ago. She's now selling some of her socks and working in the cafe, so I thought is show you some of them.
So this is quite a screwup - I'd started a pair of socks for my friend Shakir way before going to the US, and got waylaid. I finally finished them up and took a picture of him wearing them but accidentally had the movie camera function on.
I can only shudder to think what will happen when a man decides to make a similar statement. ;)
The fiddler in our oldtime group likes to wear as many colors as possible, so when I saw this yarn I decided she should have a pair of socks knit from it. So now she does. :)
Howdy, don't know if there are any other "Viners" out there but I just wanted to share this bit of silliness with y'all. :)
Warning: Not for the weak of stomach. But my creative side goes weird when I'm cooped up in the house. :)
