It's been a struggle to trust the pattern on this one, but true to the advice I have gotten from so many, the pattern is proving to be perfect.

I found this pattern on one of the free pattern sites and though you all might like to see it. I'll be taking them down to FL in a couple weeks for dear old mom.

Hello everyone! I took your advice and braved the stitch repair in the new afghan I am making. I found two purled stitches six rows back.

When working on a project, sometimes I notice that several inches prior to where I am, I have done a few knit stitches instead of purl stitches.

I was just reading over some of the members' profiles and noticed that I am the only one who has the term Real Person showing under my name.

I saw this image and it reminded me of the many rows of knitting we all do.

I found this afghan in The knitting man(ual) : 20+ projects for guys and the people who knit for them by Kristin Spurkland. It's called Seaweed Throw.

I have found a few patterns online for top-down knitting of a stocking hat. I find it very difficult to manage things and get the knitting to be what I would call the beginnings of a proper hat.

What is the difference? I am looking to make an afghan and it suggests either DK-weight yarn or heavy worsted-weight. Does anyone know what Lion brand's DK-weight yarn is called?
