Dug into my stash of Shetland wool and found some oatmeal and broom heather. I'm knitting a Scandinavian type hat with a plain hem for extra warmth over the ears. Fun to do.

Has anyone heard of a scarf pattern that when finished is rather small but then you drop some stitches and it grows to great lengths?

This weekend I finished up and blocked two sweaters I have been working on. The first one is made with Jamieson and Smith Shetland wool in a lovely heather plum colour.

I made some farmer socks for my brother-in-law out of Briggs and Little Tuffy and a pair of socks and a pair of mittens each for my sister and sister-in-law.

Visiting my friend in Canada. I knit this from Briggs and Little Regal from New Brunswick that was in my stash in Mexico. It turned out to fit perfectly and is a lovely colour.

Finished this vest about a week ago and got it washed and blocked. I used Palette yarn from Knitpicks and am really not a fan. I ordered a lot in this colour and in a grey.

Just finished the Flacon doily from the Yarnover site. I did it in an evening including the blocking. I used my mother's old recipe of sugar and water to starch it.

Made this shawl for my sister out of worsted weight and 8mm needles. I started at the top and included shoulder shaping and a gusset. It is nice and roomy and she tells me it stays on very well.

Just finished up two little sweaters for mi amigo Patricio. He just turned two years old.

I had enough Kroy of the same colour to make a vest. It is just the ticket for these cool mornings and evening. My own design with Paton's Kroy, 3.25 mm needles.
