Recently finished a shawl/afghan with some Jamieson and Smith Shetland wool that was left over from other projects.

Just finished a sweater for my friend Miguel.

A few weeks ago, Shawn (HuskerClub) commented on a request for a stretchy cast on. He described a cast on that I had never heard of before.

Finished a Fair Isle vest that was designed by Elizabeth Zimmermann. I used Jamieson and Smith Shetland Wool and 4.00 mm needles. I really like the drape this fabric has.

I have started a new sweater with a Faroese allover design that I found in Sheila McGregor's "Scandinavian Knitting".

I found some old Lopi and this pattern in a bin I had forgotten about for over l2 years. It was a fun and fast knit. I especially like the collar on this one.

I am wondering how many of you have been around since the commencement of this community. What kind of changes have you seen?

The Yarn Harlot's Febrary 25th blog entry is a wonderful article on swatching. I tend to agree with most of what she says. I hardly ever have a swatch relate correctly to the article I am knitting.

A guest from Canada is wearing a new sweater I designed and knit for myself. The wool is local and is from Patzcuaro - a small town near Morelia. It costs about $10 a kilo.

Just finished this piece and sort of blocked it. I really don't like to crochet the edgings. It frustrates me to no end.
