I lost a lot of progress on my QAL shawl in the last 2 days trying to figure out the crossword that mrhugzzz posted on his blog (and I still didn't win! lol).

I started knitting the QAL shawl yesterday afternoon, and by the end of the evening had the first 50 rnds done (picture 1).

Is it really asking that much to be able to find decently priced cashmere yarn? I have temporarily suspended my quest to tackle the great american aran afghan (note: temporarily).

So perhaps I'm a bit obsessed with cables and celtic designs, as well as loving to block things into a perfect square!
