Everything Fine...

.... situation normal!

I really, really sat down and concentrated on doing an M1 backwards and finally got it.  It's amazing sometimes how a guy can't get his mind to do something different.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

All Holed Up

Hey Guys,

Need help.  I am working on this Debbie Bliss sweater and I'm on an increase row.  However the increases are done along a purl row and are leaving holes that look like crap.  What the heck am I doing wrong???  I'm off to unknit that row....

It's Official!

First, that I am finally home after 1,587 miles of driving!

Second, that Dallas is now having the second mens knitting group meeting (I missed the maiden voyage 3 weeks ago)  and clever, clever and very talented Michael Cook came up with a name for the group that is both descriptive and ROFL hillarious. Get this!!  "Fruits and Fiber"!!  Is that a great name or what?  I love it!

And for all of you still clogging out there.  I have been way too busy to finish mine and there is no hurry now for myself, but still want to see results and how you all are getting along!

Lars, Lars, Lars

Hey Bud!

Born again are ya??  Well let me tell you that I have been born again so many times my soul has stretch marks!

I'm going to finish up my clogs on the drive home to Texas.  And no, not 'while' I'm driving!.... hey, I just might miss Arizona if I do that!  not bad.

Keep up the good work.

Enough is Enough

Ok,  I am really fed up with this bullshit spam business.  Mr. pitch and whatever as well as Miss tinywoofuckingwho.  They need to be trashed big time, sent packing and kicked in the ass until their nose bleeds!

I think it upsets me!

Gryphon Made Me Do It!!!

Well guys, gryphon00, the whiney little girl that he is, has been complaining to me that I promised him a scheduled clog chat and haven't done it yet.  (wah, wah, wah) So here goes:

Monday Night July 31st at 7pm EDT.

That should give you Yankees on the east coast enough time  to get home from work. (Please note I am not talking about my southern brothers here,  we don't have jobs and if we do we don't work at them)  And we'll chat until we get sick of each other or the conversation turns to sex.  (I know Parrot fell off his perch reading that... he'll be there at 6!).

Progress Report?

Well guys it has just been over a week since this clog thing started and we have seen some great stuff so far.  If I can get my dumb ass on a plane (on stand-by) I'll be finishing mine up in California this week.

Let me know if you would be interested in doing an online chatroom session sometime this week and we can get together and hash out some semi-realtime questions!

As we say in Texas... Arrivederci Y'all!

If anyone dares write and correct my arrivederci... I'll getcha!

To All You Heels Out There

In Bens' post on the progress of his clogs he brought up an interesting subject concerning the weak stitch at the heel where it is intitially joined in the round.  I too have had that problem and have always tightened it up a bit at the end and all has been well and good.

However, and I don't remember where I read this, whenever I do a piece in the round someone suggested casting on an extra stitch and ktog when making the join and it has always worked for me in the past.  Obviously you can't do that at that point in the clog.  So this morning when I got to the join I ktog and immediately did a M1 to recover the stitch.  I may hopeful but it seems to be a firmer join.
