When God Slams The Door On Your Butt......

....He sometimes knocks you through a closed window. One that I thought I had thouroughly nailed shut back in August.

It turns out the guy I have been 'seeing' the past few weekends is perpetually COLD! And me here sitting on a few boxes of yarn. What's a boy to do? Yes, there are blessings in this world.

Now all I have left to do is take the comforter off the bed and put the summer bedspread back on! (wink, y'all)

Hey Boys

Looking for a cool pattern for mittens, fingerless or not, to make as a xmas gift. I'm not liking much of what I am finding so far on the net.

Suggestions?

Oh... men's size med.

Hope you all are well!

Happy Halloween Y'all

A cabbie picks up a Nun. She gets into the cab, and the cab driver won't stop staring at her.

She asks him why he is staring.

He replies: "I have a question to ask you, but I don't want to offend you."

She answers, "My son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that would find offensive."

"Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me."

She responds, "Well, let's see what we can do about that: #1, you have to be single and #2, you must be Catholic."

The cab driver is very excited and says, "Yes, I'm single and Catholic!"

"OK" the nun says. "Pull into the next alley."

The nun fulfills his fantasy with a kiss that would make a hooker blush.

But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying.

"My dear child," said the nun, why are you crying?"

"Forgive me but I've sinned. I lied I and must confess, I'm married and I'm Jewish."

The nun says, "That's O.K. my dear child, my name is Kevin and I'm going to a Halloween party."

OK, OK, Already Mike!

Going to tour the condo this afternoon at 5pm. I feel good about it. Plus!!!!! My 'date' of Friday the 13th called last night and we talked about an hour. WooHoo!

Going to have to hire a shepard to get all the wool to the new place if I buy it.

Happy knitting to all!

I Second That!

I agree with Mike (Sticywarp); I too will do anything to keep this site up. (and some of you are aware of exactly what I 'might' do!) The rest of you will have to speculate.

I suggested to Mike that I would be willing to chip in to pay for the domain name on a long-term basis.

In short, I would hate to lose touch with y'all in what is a great forum.

Best to you all.

Yes, I'm Still Alive!

For all of you that have been asking, and you know who you are, yes, I am still a living, breathing human being.

I've been busy trying to buy the condo that I have been living in but the owners don't want to sell. Well, I wanna buy so I've been looking for suitible property all over the city. I figure that if I don't eat, sit in the dark and hitch-hike to work I can swing this.

But that means more of that damn packing and unpacking that I've been doing since July! Crap.

My best to you all and hope things are going well in your necks of the woods.

I'm Floored By All Of You

Many people think that the internet is cold and impersonal.  While it's true that it can be, this is not one of those places.  It has turned out, in the last few days, to be an even more warmer and inviting place to be than I ever could have imagined.

I am overwhelmed with the love and support I have recieved from all of you.  Enough so, that I might have to cover the keyboard in plastic to keep out the salt water.  Believe it or not, I have actually 'felt' each and every one of the cyber-hugs I have recieved from y'all and your wonderful words are eternally etched in my heart.

Airing My Dirty Knitting

First, my sincerest appologies to all you guys for avoiding this site for awhile.  I feel very close to alot of you and it has been unfair for me not to respond to your emails and PMs.  I'm ashamed of myself.

Next, since there are far to many of you to write the same thing to and since it's public knowledge here in Dallas it might as well be around the world.

As many of you know my Grandmother passed in July and again I thank you for all you condolances and kind words.  However, two days after I got back from that horrid, horrid experience Jim told me he was leaving me after 6 1/2 years of what I never suspected was a relationship gone sour.  That brick hit an already bruised head from behind.  If I had seen it coming towards me it would have been easier to take.
