Thanks to Daninaa and MayaB, I think I've got this pattern sorted (with pictures courtesy of Maya), and am including it here. Enjoy!

I knit this cap as part of my halloween costume this year, but boy does it feel good of a night in this draughty old house! I'd wondered for years how those things were made; you see them sometimes in 15/16th century portraits.

This isn't knitting, but it is fibre arts...I have to say that I'm satisfied with divine justice: puppy dog chewed up a fuzzy vintage mohair blanket: puppy dog should fix it...and she did!

This isn't entirely germane to knitting, (though I found plenty of cotton yarn in the markets, not much knitting; it was for ancient BACKLOOM weaving!) but I couldn't think of any other group of fine

I'd like to invite y'all to get involved in this!

I think I deleted the pattern by mistake from my blog a couple of days past. Here it is again!

.................................................stockings of course

Hey all!
