My sock-knitting obsession continues, and I tried a short row heel. I'm pleased but not 100% satisfied.

OK, men...I am in the process of balling several hanks of yarn, and no matter how careful I am, I end up with knots and tangles that I can't fix. I am losing dozens of yards of good yarn.

I got a yarn bowl for my birthday - very nice. Apparently, it was made to order and my wife got email updates during the process. It was made by Valorie Scherr at Mornin' Glori Pottery:

OK, after outfitting my family (wife and three kids), I'm just finishing up my 5th pair of socks in the about the past month.

Well, I'm "finished" with my first sweater, which I started in January.

I made my first pair of socks for my 8-year-old daughter. She loves them, and I'm happy to have conquered another knitting frontier.
Patrrick :)

I haven't been knitting very long, but I've already developed a dislike for those little plastic ring stitch markers.

It's March 23rd, and we're having a blizzard. Yes, a blizzard. Looks like a good night to get cozy at home and knit!

I'm interested in hearing about the experiences of others using washable or "superwash" wool.

I'm knitting gloves, and after each finger the pattern says to "rejoin" the yarn. I assume this means to start over with a tail and weave that in when I get around to it.
