I am knitting my first pair of socks. I am taking a class at my favorite LYS, LovelYarns in Baltimore, MD. I am overwhelmed but trudging on. It is a toe down pattern.

Difficult Time

I have not been knitting much lately. My mom, who has suffered from emphysema for several years, is reaching the end of her life.

We have dug out . . . more snow coming on Monday (OMG)

This has been a tough winter here in Baltimore. I heard on the radio this is the worst winter since . . . EVER! We beat the record snows of 1898 or 9.

Lots of snow means lots of knitting.

We had about 24 inches of snow here in Baltimore. Since we have to stay inside, I have had the opportunity to work on several projects . . . I am loving it!

I think I beat the low motivation monster.

Thanks for all the suggests and ideas to overcome low motivation . . . I went back to the project after a few days, and I saw my mistake. It was, fortunately, easy to fix.

Trouble with motivation . . .

I am having a hard time getting motivated this weekend. I want to work on a scarf for a good friend, but I can't seem to get cracking.

I finished a scarf this weekend

I am very excited. I finished a scarf this weekend for a dear friend; I hope she likes it. I have to say, it was an easy knit. I used size 50 needles. It took about 3 hours total.
