This is rather off topic, but today is the 30th anniversary of the murder/martyrdom of the Archbishop of El Salvador, Oscar Romero.

I walked out of a yarn store empty-handed today. That is how cheap I am.

Earlier last week I had promised a girl I would teach her to knit on Thursday.

Well, the last time I wrote it was concerning the hat and giftcard. Good news! I did finish the hat in time for the gift exchange (barely) and I did decide to give the friar a giftcard as well.

So I haven't gotten much knitting done lately as studies have kept me rather busy, but I am looking forward to the Christmas break to remedy that.

So today was a day off from school and for I week I had been planning to take a trip to San Antonio's Yarn Barn.

A couple months ago I started knitting on Size 8, 32 in. long circular knitting needles for no apparent reason other than the desire to try out these needles.

So today is the Feast of St. Francis, but because it fell on a Sunday this year it is not necessarily liturgically observed in most Catholic parishes today.

And so it begins, my first blog. Well to begin with, I am in the early formation process with the Order of Friars Minor Conventuals (AKA Conventual Franciscans).
