And the Wyoming Winds have returned with more gusto than ever. Last week they swept into the Casper area with a small yet beautiful break Thursday morning. Then they blew back in and brought a bit of rain and snow with them Saturday night. One must love horizontal precipitation no matter it's make-up when living in Wyoming.
The following is a post that was in response to the following ravelry discussion thread posted to the Lazy Stupid and Godless Group:
Two years ago or so, I knit the proverbial boyfriend sweater.
I do. Last year for my birthday the kids bought me a spinning wheel. And a lovely wheel it is, despite it's layer of dust. So, this year, I resolve to pull the spinning wheel back out, dusting her off and learning more about spinning. Someday I hope to have an addiciton to my own hand spun and died yarns in addition to all the other stuff I tend to buy.
I know, a month was a bit of overkill for a single sweater but in reality, it was only about three weeks. You see, I got the actual knitting done the day I returned to work, but I didn't do the seaming until the day after Christmas. Why you may ask? Because I despise sewing in all forms. Quite literally. Just not a fan.
Please ignore the screeched curses from the kitchen and the banging of pots and pans as I pretend to be calm about tomorrow's dinner. Instead listen to the true intent I hope my voice has as I tell you all to have a wonderful holiday, regardless of whichever holiday you may celebrate with the returning of the sun's light.
