Stopped into Tuesday Morning yesterday evening and got a new bag. It is the "Crochet Dude" organizer bag. It is a Nantucket Bagg style bag and I have wanted it for a while. Little did I know that this morning when I opened it, the bag is an actual Nantucket Bagg. I got it for $10. I am so pleased. I used it today to go to the Coffee Shop and knit. I think it may become my new favorite bag.

Several of you asked for an update on the dispute I was having a few weeks ago. Well it has ended and needless to say I decided that yes I want to meet and take classes with Cat Bordhi, but not with tension in the room. If you read that it had spiraled, boy had it spiraled.

So a very famous knitting teacher (Cat Bordhi) is coming to my area. I want to attend a class and she will be teaching 3. She will be at a yarn shop that is not my favorite, but I go there when I need something I can't get elsewhere. My wife and I have been fair customers (we live 1.5 hours away so we can't go weekly).

Letters were sent by my in-laws, Aaron Bush, and myself to the Dr. Oz show. As yet we have not heard any reply. It figures as they got what they wanted. I sent them dozens of pictures and they used the "most believable" ones for their show. Evidently to them no self-respecting male knitter would dare knit a lace shawl for his wife or a chemo cap for a friend who has lost her hair.

My apologies for how we were portrayed. Here is the response that I am sending to him:
Dear Dr. Oz,

Tune in today as Dr. Oz has a feature on "clubs" and their health benefits. Men Who Knit will be one of the "clubs' he is featuring.

Greetings fellow knitters. Just wanted to let you know that a couple of weeks ago the Dr. Oz show contacted me about MWK. They were working on a segment about MWK (in general) and asked for pics and info. I just got word today that the segment will air on Wednesday, October 3rd. Check your listings to see time. I can't wait to see what they prepared from what I sent to them!

Hey Guys! If you know anyone who is interested please let them know that I have set the deadline for this year's registration for Sunday, September 30th. I need time to contact all those involved and manage supplies, donations, reservations, and venue payment. You can PM me here if interested. Thanks!

The day before I went back to work (I am a school teacher by trade) I traveled to New Bern to check out a spinning wheel, and visit my brother and his family. We found the Majacraft Saxonie on Craig's List and the owner was willing to bring it to us. It turned out that my brother only lived a mile from Shirley, the owner.
