Our local newspaper has a blog section which includes a Fiber Arts blog. I was asked to to a guest post (could be a series of them too). Check it out!

I had the opportunity a couple of weekends ago to learn the very basics of sprang (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprang) a technicque of twisting warp threads to produce a fabric.

Here it is!!!

This is my Hemlock Ring Blanket's life now. It not only drapes beautifully over my exercise ball, it makes it so much nicer to use!

Here it is! It's just basic feather and fan, super easy, but it looks so nice, and I just love working with alpaca!

This is the scarf I am making for the woman who gave me the cone of alpaca. It's going to be lovely.

I was given this cone of lovely cream colored alpaca today with the request that I knit a scarf for the woman who gave it to me.

I just finished this yesterday. I had been itching to start another lace project and after several failed starts at other patterns, this one actually came to be.

I got this nifty swift and ball winder (along with a lot of other cool non-knitting related stuff) for Christmas!

Well, here it is. My Hemlock Ring Blanket.
