I've said I love Noro for its colors. This colorway is the best yet!

My latest rave: my first moebius. A very good experience.

Here's my tribute to the start of summer...a delicious pair of wintry mitts in my first painted handspun that is plied on itself (versus plying the painted fiber with a natural colored fiber).

Mum liked the colors. I almost cried at the festival stand. Mum thought they matched a blouse she owns. I thought I'd ditch a pair of patriotic socks and make her a shawl.

So I've had a sore spot behind my left shoulder blade for a good week now. Ugh. I don't know what it's from, but I'm guessing it might be from over-extending my reach during spinning.

Just took pics of my first handspun yarn project, which is coincidentally my first pair of mittens.

Is there an Elizabeth Zimmerman for spinning? When I am in the library/bookstore, is there a resource I can keep my eyes open for?

I feel like a horrible liar if you think my previous blog was my absolute first attempt at spinning.

I went with a bunch of women on a trip to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival.
