I know Franklin made a calendar for the past year placing shirtless men with needles and yarn. Does anyone know if there is something similar out there for this year?

Thanks to everyone's input, I'm happy to announce that my dad's Christmas vest is beginning to take shape.

Okay, I'm panicking a little...I got some alpaca to knit my dad a v-neck vest. The yarn info says it's sport weight. Well, a US 3 needle seems to make too loose a fabric!

Just a quickie to show what I got at Rhinebeck. You can see it's mostly spinning fiber. I managed to get only one fun yarn, having specific projects to buy for.

I have to echo the glowing reports about Rhinebeck. Well, okay, there was fiber at Rhinebeck. But what overwhelmed me was not the yarns. Not too much, anyway. Okay, maybe the green ones.

A friend from knitting group let me borrow her Louet wheel...just got to spend tonight trying it out at group. What fun!

I started this Wonderful Wallaby the day after Christmas. I'm very proud to have resurrected it and finally finished my first baby project, joining my list of firsts for 2009.

This Saturday, Sept. 12th, is the Garden State Sheep and Wool festival, not far from Lambertville, NJ. Is anyone planning on stopping by?

Clay men knitting... have you seen this one yet?
