So I've been working on a pair of socks for myself for months now. Two at a time on circs with yarn I dyed myself. I've been really happy with the way they're coming out. They're my take-everywhere-knit-a-row-when-I-have-a-minute project, and since my feet are size 14, and I'm knitting with size 2 needles, and I rarely have a minute, it's taken quite a while.

I'd sworn to myself that I wouldn't buy any more yarn until I caught up with some of the projects that have been sitting in my stash closet staring at me for far too long.

Finished up a lace baby blanket last week and finally got it washed and blocked over the weekend. It'll go out in the mail today.

Who's tried machine knitting?

This is the sweater vest I finished recently. I'm very proud of it -- though of course as I was getting ready to photograph it last night, I noticed a pretty glaring (to me, anyway) error.

For the first time in I-don't-know-how-long, I've only got one project on needles (technically not even one since I finished a glove last night and have yet to cast on its mate).

After my first experience with DPNs a few years back, I've been avoiding them like the plague. But I'm coming around.

Hi all,
I've been lurking for a while and enjoying the advice and chat. Figured it was time to speak up and say hello.
